Set Up: 10 x 10 grids back to with 2 x players in one corner and 2 players inside the grids. The players inside the grid stay in the grid. Any rotation is with players in their closest corner. 2 grids work with one ball
Organisation: [3 variations shown. start with No 1]
The ball is played from a corner player into a player in the grid and this player combines with the other player in the initial grid before the ball is played to the opposite corner. The same occurs with the return pass. The player who plays the last pass rotates out of the grid, swapping with a corner player.
Coaching Points: Crisp passing and high ball speed. Verbal and non-verbal communications to show for the ball. Body shape to receive the ball to play the next pass. Movement of second player and body shape to combine and play quickly.
MAke sure everyone gets a go in the middle.
Progressions: As shown here:
1. Simple layoff (or set) and pass
2. We introduce a bounce pass between central players before the longer pass
3. The ball played "around the corner" (a forward pass into the next grid) then played back into the initial grid for the long pass.
4. Same as 3 with a bounce pass on the end

Set Up: Multiple 3v1 Rondos
7m x 7m grids. 3v1 in each grid (if extra players make up a 5v2) and size to suite skills
Organisation: Players in the centre work to win the ball. They keep their different colour bib in hand at all times and work for a minute. They dont swap out until the minute is done.
Everyone is a defender twice.
Coaching Points:
Defender
Intensity, Hips not square-on. Body shape to isolate players. Win the ball on poor pass or touch
Attackers
Scanning for safe passes, movement, directional touches, weight of pass, pass on safe side.

Set Up: 3 cones placed on the left hand side just outside the box (3 steps), centrally and on the right hnd side just outside the box. Players divide themselves equally behind these 3 stations.
Organisation: Starts at station 1 on the left hand side.
First player (player 1) only touches the ball around the cone and shoots at goal from the edge of the box on the angle.
Player 1 then turns after they have shot and gets a pass from Player at station 2. They play a bounce and then player 2 has a shot from the edge of the box.
Player 2 then turns to get a pass from the player at station 3 and plays the return ball into the corner for PLayer 3 to cross to both Players 1 and 2 who finish on goal.
Once the cross is completed the play starts again a Station 1 with the next 3 players copying what just happened.
Coaching Points:
Players are always involved
Turn quickly afer your shot to support the next movement
Players 1 and 2 take up different positions for the cross
Good firm passes and ball speed
Good crosses away from the GK. On the ground is fine.

They jog out and back as a group doing the following:
- open the gate
- close the gate
- knees up
- heels up at the back
- lunges (slow)
- sideways skip (both sides)
- 1,2,3 Jump to Head the ball
- cross overs (sideways with front leg over back and back over front)
Finish with
2 x 75% sprint with a hard stop at the end and a jog back
2 x 100% sprint - one with hard stop and the final one with a run through.
Stretch anything that needs stretching for a minute
