Screen 2 (20 mins)

Long range Attacking set pieces from 35 yards or more.

"OVERLOAD" ste piece taker calls the play early. the player 2nd in from the back of the offensive line will be who the ball is played too after 2 decoy runs.

profile of the receiver: depending on the side of the box we set up on we want a player with an inward facing foot. from the left hand side we want this player to be right footed and from the right we want them to be left footed. the player must be sharp, quick over short distances and have a good shot or passing ability as the player will be eitehr receiving the ball and shooting with no more than their 2nd touch OR slipping the ball into the player running in from the other side of the box who should be onside as the defensive players in the wall would've dropped a few yards thinking they're defending a high curved ball into the box. that wide playe shold share the same qualiteis as the other player.

the attacking players play a huge part in making the space for the orange player to receive the ball without thier marker. The kick taker will pretend to take the FK then stop and complain that the attackers aren't active enough, this will unsettle the defensive line and expose any counter plan they may have like stepping up. this will also allow the orang player to create the illuision that they will be running in behind. the FK taker will then reset. As the kick taker steps towards the ball the 2nd time the attackers run with aggression but also blocking any defenders attempting to advance through their attacking line to close down the orange player by angling their runs to force the defender into eachother and also using low laying petruding hands to stop or slow their chase, this will allow the orange player time and space to escape and sprint to the central area where they will receive the ball.

The orange player will need to be aware of an attempt to press the ball by 1 of the defenders that MAY be helping to mark the other wide player. if the space is being closed there are 4 options

1) shoot early

2) slip the wide player in using the defender thats pressing as a disguise for the pass

3) push the ball past the advancing defender and draw another foul

4) pass it back the to taker who will be closing in on their pass as a safety option and first press if your tackled.

Strong man set piece

overload 1 side of the box to create a 1v1 or 1v2 on the other side of the box. the player receving and setting the ball must be big and strong enough to hold the ball up while both supporting runners make their way. after they have plyued a disguised lay off, they will still need to hold off the defender to stop them from pressing the shot or through ball that follows.
