Organization:
- Players work in pairs and are 30 yards apart.
- Cone with the ball on top is evenly in between the two players.
Instructions:
- Players are looking to strike the ball to knock the ball off the cone.
- The non shooting partner must replace ball on cone if hit off
Coaching Points:
- Locking ankle on contact.
- Placement of non kicking foot.
- Stepping into and following through on shot.
- Angled apporach to ball.
Progressions:
P - Time limit. Winner after 3mins
P - Winner moves up the ladder to "top field"

Organization:
- 20 x 25 area set up as shown
- Two goals with keepers
- Players positioned as seen in diagram.
- 1 Ball per players (additional on outside)
Instructions:
- (A) Players dribble to the middle cone then look to turn and strike the ball at goal.
- (B) Player checks to the cone, pulls away to receive pass & strikes at goal after 1 touch
Coaching Points:
- Observation of GK and target to choose striking surface.
- Ball out of feet after turn for correct observation and apporach.
Progressions:
P - After shooting player turns to become passive defender for next attacker
P - After shooting player must run to goal & become goalkeeper

Organization:
- 30 x 20 yard area set up as shown
- 12 players set up as shown (6 attackers & 6 defenders)
- Supply of balls by the coach
Instructions:
- Teams lines up either side of the coach/server
- As coach passes ball out one player from each line races out 1v1 to the ball
- Player that wins ball is the attacker & aims to score in either goal
- Defender can win ball back & attempt to score in goals
- Play until goal is scored or ball leaves playing area
Coaching Points:
- Be quick to the ball
- Observe position of Defender as you arrive to the ball
- 1st touch to set up next action; dribble, move, shot?
- If you don’t get there first, defend the goal by getting your body between the player and the goal
- Finishing technique: disguised, power vs finesse?
Progressions:
P - Can only score in specific goal
P - One team are Attackers. Defenders now pass the ball out for Attackers
P - After attacking, players stay for next pair; becomes 2v2 game. New Attackers can only score
P - Add goalkeepers

- 12 players (2 teams of 6 including goalkeepers)
- 1 ball (additional on outside)
Instructions:
- Teams line up with two defenders & three attackers
- Players are not allowed to move out of their zone (2v3 in each attacking half)
- Team in possession aim to get ball into attacking half to score
- After set time rotate players

- Review of sessions learning outcomes being translated into the game
- Create space for early shooting opportunity
- Combination & Connection with fellow attackers
