Information: Using the wide channels to attack an opponents high defensive line. Creating width should be done by Forwards 'Swimming' (Swimming Coined by Coach Ault) moving from central positions to the touchlines, unless outside backs are driving forward already in possession, even then a channel run can be effective.
4 v 4 (4 teams of 4) 2 sets of pinnies e.g. blue and yellow.
Players look to dribble through the wide gates and into the channels or they can pass across the defenses offsides line, but the ball MUST be recieved in the channel or else a goal cannot be scored. If the ball is kicked across the defensive offsides line, play can be allowed to continue but must be played into channel. Players can run across the offsides line and the ball can also be played across the line or down the channel, so long as the runner is not offisides or in the channel before the ball is played.
C.P - (Strongly encourage the weight of the pass and the timing of runners to recieve the ball into the channel.)
*No defending in channels
*Defenders look to dribble across blue line to gain a point.
*If offense scores in big goal, they remain on offense for the next possession.
*Ball must be played across the intial start line and into the field, not directly into channel.
*If GK makes a save, ask the defensive team to play out of the back still No defending in channels.

Same game as in 2. Now all players are involved. You can expand the field in the midfield third, adding a few yards to give space in the midfield third for all players to be mobile. Add GK and Second Big Goal.
Still no defending in channels. It will seem like a fast break game at times!!! If the defense does not allow the offense to score, then they will flip directions and be on the attack. If you score your team keeps posession and attacks again.

1 - 3 Man Long Ball (Shaping Ball Flight) (10 mins)
Stage 1: Groups of 3, (Short Short Long) Ball starts with the group of two in possession. Player 1 drives ball across the pitch (low and driven pass) Player 1 then follows his pass jogging across the pitch. There is a wall pass exchange from Player 1 and Player 2. Then Player 2 assumes the intial role of Player 1 as the activity repeats itself.
Variation - It's important to challenge the guys with shaping the ball by curving there boot around the ball, moving the ball first right to left, then left to right. This is important once you get to the next stage so you can curve the ball around defenders and into the channels.
