Organization:
- 3v1 in a 10x10 square
- Defender holds pinnie
Activity:
- Aim of the drill is to keep possession
- If defender wins ball, player losing the ball becomes the defender
Progressions
- Limit touches - 1 or 2
- Receive the ball on the back foot to provide control and options
Coaching Emphasis:
- Head up passing, first touch away from pressure, opening of hips
- Eye on ball defending (surfboard, 'get slow, get low, stay low', wait for the ball player to move the ball before attempting to tackle)
- Players without the ball provide support or depth for pass
- Players without the ball must constantly move into a clear passing lane
- Encourage 1-2s

Organization:
- Create four 2m x 2m goals on each corner within a 40m x 40m grid. Split the group into two teams.
Activity:
- Instruct the teams to pass amoung their team to keep possession while attempting to score a point by passing the ball to a team mate that is inside the grid. The teams can score in any corner, however they cannot score in the same corner twice in a row.
Coaching Emphasis:
- Keeping possession
- Quality of pass
- Decision-making skills

- 8-10 players

Activity:
- 4v4/5v5 small-sided game
Coaching Emphasis:
- When to pass/dribble/shoot?
- When other team has the ball, what do we do?
- Focus on kick-ins, goalie kicks and centre line kicks
- Acceleration into space once player makes a move

Organization:

- 4 centre cones
Activity:
- Players split into 4 groups. Player starts by dribbling their ball towards the center cone and performs a move (Pull back, outside cut, inside cut, rolls, etc.).
- Players rotate between their dominant and non-dominant foot
Progressions/Variations:
- Add passing. Go to different lines.
Coaching Emphasis:
- Awareness of ball, space and other players
- Close control of the ball
- Lots of touches
- Changes of direction/speed
