Be patient with the ball during the build up phase, by using the center backs to drop and the full backs to advance higher to create numbers up, and also lots of movement from the #6 and the outside players during this build up phase

DESCRIPTION ON PHASE 1
SET UP
Grid 20 x 40yrds
Players are separated into groups of two performing passing and receiving in motion (not stationary)If the group is larger than 16 players expand the grid to encourage more moving into space.
Players will be passing and receiving from(Red plays to Blue) and vice versa.
PROGRESSION 2
Players continue using 1 ball per group, but now they DONT UNSE THE DESIGNATED PLAYER TO RECEIVE, they are able to pass to any available player within the grid. Players should not pass the ball who does not actively show for the ball or call for the ball by communicating with their partner asking for the ball.
PROGRESSION 3
As the palys contiues, now the RED only can play RED and BLUE only can play BLUE, but they cannot play the same partner twice on the roll, always switching partners around.
PROGRESSION 4
All players will remove their vests and hold it, reduce the number of soccer balls in the grid, and starting the active of passing and receiving to anyone in the grid. As the session progress, the coach will designated some players to put the vests back on and become defenders who will seek to interfere with the passing by knocking the ball out(whoever lost possesion will retrive the ball).
Coach can add numbers on defense team to increase more pressure during the warm up, also can reduce the number of soccer ball.
PROGRESSION 5
Coach will reduce the number of ball to three. As the numbers of defensive players are building up, the players with the vests on(defenders) no longer can kick the ball out of bounce, ow they need to keep possession among themselves, and the other players will tray to to retrive the ball back. It basically becomes a game of keep away.Coach will control the numbers of defenders to even sided play with both teams attemping to maintain possession. Coach can challenge each team to attemp to keep possession all three balls, the team that have all three balls in possession is the winning team.
End of the warm up phase.
