Technical: Dribbling/running with the ball
Tactical: Space Creation / width & Depth

Objective : Create plenty of opportunities for players in 1v1 situations to practice their moves and dribbling skills. To find openings and dribble/run with the ball.

Organization: 8/ 10 players, 15x 20 yards, cones, balls
Activity: Dribbling/Running with the Ball
Procedure: Players look to get to the opposite end as quick as possible with the ball, before passing to the player on the opposite side.
Coaching Points: good first touch into space , attack the space with speed, Exploit the space as quickly as possible,( big touches) when you get closer look to dribble.
(when dribbling keep the ball close small touches) get your head up to see the space.
Progression 1: Switch Direction, players must now use their Left foot.
Progression 2: Players that pass the ball now look to get around the Orange cone.
can they catch the player with the ball to get a point.
Competition: Create Multiple groups first team to finish two progressions wins

Organization: 25 x 20 (Adjust players needs) cones, bibs, balls.
Activity: Dribbling/RWB 10/12 min
Players in Blue look to get to their opposite side as players in red look to pass to their teammate (passes on the ground) Players Dribbling( must be aware of the other player dribbling and balls going back and Fourth. Head up change space/change direction, protect the ball.
Every time a player(blue) looks to get to the other side they get a point. They turn and look to get to the other side. Go for 1 min. Players (red) look to connect passes through the traffic, they reach a point with every successful pass to feet.
Every player gets a chance to be the player that dribbles( blue)
Coaching Points: Head up, See the ball/player, use your laces to push the ball, part of the foot/ball change Speed/Direction.

1v1 Dribbling/running with the ball -12:2 work/rest
Organization: 20 x 20 field size gates per game (5m)
(Adjust to players needs/challenges) 10/12 players 2 teams of 5/6 players per team
Equipment: cones, balls, bibs pug nets
Procedure: Pick a team to start (blue) The attacker looks to drive into the scoring zone and score. As soon as the blue scores the red player can attack and the blue player becomes the defender. The Attacker must be in the scoring zone to score.
If the defender wins the bal,l they become the attacker and look to score through the opposite gates. passing through a gate equals 1 points dribbling through equals 3 points.
1) Allow players to decide on how many points an action is worth.
2)Allow players to pick their team name
Objective: When to Dribble/Run with the ball?Running with the ball: look to take big touches with the ball and get to the open space as quick as you can.
Dribbling:
See the ball/player, attack with speed use your laces, small touches change speed change direction
Q: When/where is a good time to dribble ?
A: The Opponents attacking third, as you can recover and look to win the ball back.

Equipment Used: Balls, Cones
Jogging 30 sec: Jog in any direction.
Lateral Movement 30 sec: move in any direction to anyobject side to side without clicking your heels
Move backward 30 sec: keep low, check your shoulders tosee where you are going, and change direction.
One Foot Hops 30 sec: look to jump over as many objects as you can, switching feet (left/right)
Two Foot jumps 30 sec: big jumps over as many objects as you can
Clear the playing area: Dribble - 2min Use one ball dribble for a min lots of touches on the ball left and right foot, inside and out, do a turn using different parts of the feet
The move of the Week - STEP OVER
Together the players run forward with the ball ,and every 2 or 3 touches, they put their foot around the ball (draw a half circle) then using their opposite leg push the ball into space. Have Players try with their left foot, then the right foot , last progression they decide which foot.
