The goal of this session is to continue building our confidence on finishin tecnique and tactical awareness. Our players truly enjoy this set of activities as it motivates them to compete.
Sense of Urgency plays a big role in this session as our team is working on mastering goal scoring opportunities.
The activites have been instilled in this group of players and each week we add a new challenging component thay will add to our attacking qualities during weekend games.
As players arrive we need to provide the most positive energy and attitude for continuous growth. Structure is important, so any players caught fooling around or desengaged will be sent to sideline and watch teammates have fun, until ready to returned with a focused mindset.

Organization:
30x20 yard area
10-12 players
6-8 balls
Instructions:
2v2 game with bounce players. Outside players must keep ball in. Ball never stops, players outside must change their position once delivering a pass to player inside.
Play starts when coach delivers a high ball which players must control or finish on first touch.
Play for 2-3 minutes and switch players inside.
Attackers:
3 points = finishing on 1st touch
2 points = finishing on 2nd touch
1 point = finishing on dribble
Bouncers:
2 points = assisting 1st touch finish
1 point = assisting finish on 2 or more touches
Coaching Points:
Striking techniques (driven, curl, toe, etc...)
Mobility
Awareness (goal, team mates, opponents)
Sense of Urgency
Staying in line of behind the ball when asking for ball to finish (also avoid off side)
Progressions/Regressions:
P1 - Two touch max
R1 - 1v1
R2 - Outside players don't move & have a ball ready to keep the game going.

Two pug goals on sidelines for defenders to score on

Rotate teams finishing on big goal every 2-3 minutes. Outside players must keep ball in. Ball never stops, players outside must change their position once delivering a pass to player inside.
