1v1 with a defender behind (Forward)
How it works:
1- Player A checks towards Player B and then checks back to the coach.
2- Coach will play the pass directly to Player A.
3- Player B will defend.
**Focus on Player A using their body to protect the ball and get a touch and then turn (or turn on the first touch). Player A should look to shoot ASAP. Player B should be touch tight in order for the drill to be game realistic.**
Progression- Give a time limit... 5 seconds to get your shot off.

Progression to the group play....
Start the same way but now introduce the forward making a backwards pass to get numbers forward.
Player A-
1- Check on an angle
2-Can I go to goal 1st? If not, How do I keep possession?

Focusing on receiving player:
1- receive then turn (inside and outside turns/cuts)
2- turn on first touch (inside only)
How it works:
1- Player A checks in to receive a pass from player B
2- Player B passes into Player A
3- Player A receives performs skill and passes back to his own line (then run back to line- do not switch lines)
4- Player B will then check across to repeat the drill.
