Objectives

2. Have an alternative plan when the defense is dropping off instead of playing high
3. Understand attacking midfielder's (no.10) role when linking with the forwards.

Set Up
24x24 yard grid (4 x 6y ard boxes). Add 15 yard zone on each end of the grid. Goal at each end.

Rules and Conditions
Players to try and work ball into their next line by penetrating first line of defense before penetrating the second line of defense for a runner towards goal. Go 1v Gk. When defenders win the ball back, they become offensive team. Ball must be played through on the ground.

Has to be a first time pass.

Play 3v2 in CM (in defenders favour). When the Midfielder wins the ball, begin pattern. Run 3 patterns: Channel pass, Short striker, In behind.

Players go through PEP routine including Motor Movement, Dynamic Stretching, Strength, plyometric and sprint (with changes of direction) phases. Focus on techniques and landing mechanics. Use resistance bands for strength development and Post Activation Potentiation.
