Drill

Set Up:

2 groups set up as above (above should be replicated twice). 3/4 players per group. 2 balls per group.

Instruction:

Coach should ask players to dribble the ball down one side of the markers. Players should be encouraged to keep the ball to the safe side (markers to the left, right foot)(markers to the left, left foot) Practice should begin with players taking lots of touches and then progress to gettting the ball out of their feet. Once the players reach the end they should join the opposite group to come back down the other side. After 2 minutes players should be asked to use their other foot.

Progression One

Set Up:

2 groups set up as above (above should be replicated twice). 3/4 players per group. 2 balls per group.

Instruction:

As before coach should ask players to dribble the ball down one side of the markers working on dribbling techniques. A free player should be postioned in an area to recieve a pass. As players dribble the ball they should be encouraged to life their head and play a pass. The player who passes the ball then becomes the reciever. The recieving player joins the end of the the group.
