Phase of play 3b

1. LB tries to play to wide player but loses possession

2. LM to apply immediate pressure as closest player and tries to prevent player from playing forward

3. 1st ST to to drop in quickly and 2nd ST to move across field

4. Ball is played to ST quickly, so LB applies immediate pressure to delay the ST

5. LM works back quickly

6. LCM applies pressure from behind

7. CB moves to cover or intercept ball in behind

8. RM shuttles and drops to provide additional cover

1. Ball is played long and headed down into opposition CM

2. Both CMs to react quickly and put pressure on player as he controls the ball

3. Both WMs to tuck in and look to prevent passes

4. Closest ST to drop and hassle the player out of possession, not allowing him to play forward

1. Ball is played long and headed down into opposition CM

2. As ball is in the air, both CMs to react quickly and put pressure on player as he controls the ball

3. Player controls the ball quickly but has to play back, ST then must work hard to pressurise next pass

4. Both WMs to tuck in and look to prevent passes out wide

5. LCM to shuffle left to try to intercept any forward passes
