ball played diagonally to attacking player who receives the ball moving forward
defender can leave at the moment of the pass. second defender comes from opposite side.

Exercise Description:
1vs.1 technique, closing down oncoming attacker
Coaching Points:
-play on the imaginary line straight from the ball to the middle of the goal
-close the attacker at the same speed in which they are traveling
-hands in front
- stay on feet as long as possible
-get lower to the ground as you get closer to the attacker
-stay big, get hit
Technical Objectives:
-making saves with all areas of your body
Tactical Objectives:
-make the area of the goal they can shoot at as small as possible.
-intercept attacker as far from goal as possible
Physical Objectives:
-quick, controlled movements
-stay on your feet as long as possible

-starting position appropriate to distance of the ball from the goal

No more than 1 GK in each zone defensively
