Organization:
- Same set up as before but now the 'attacking' team will have a ball at their feet.
Instructions:
- Player from attacking team drives at the mid point of the grid, and tries to beat defender to dribble towards a gate.
- If defender steals the ball they can attack grid on opposite side and score by dribbling through a gate.
Coaching Points/Questions:
- Can we recognize the space behind the defender? (keep head up).
- Can we slow down as we approach the defender, to then accelerate after the move.
- If we do the scissor with the right foot, our first touch out of it will be with the outside of our left foot, and viceversa.
- What if the defender doesn't fall for it?
Regressions
- Start with a ball at each side and players doing a scissor semi-opposed.
Progressions:
- Make it a 1v1.

Organization:
- Same set up as before.
Instructions:
- Play starts at bottom grid. Attacker approaches defender for the 1v1.
- Wider gates are worth 1 point, narrow gates are worth 2 points. If a scissor is involved, attacking team gets 3 extra points.
- An alternative progression to this activity is to have 4 teams of 4 and have them competing in 2 different lines but in the same area of play.
Coaching Points/Questions:
- What if the defender does not fall for the move?
- Can we accelarate as soon as we beat the defender?

3v3
Race Game (15 mins)
Organization:
- 2 gates at each corner of grid, 8 total as shown.
- 2 teams divided in lines each on opposite sides as shown.
Instructions:
- Each player from each line runs to the center cone and high fives player coming directly towards them. After meeting at the middle, each player races to a gate opposite of them. WInning player gets a point.
Coaching Points/Questions:
- Can we keep our head up when we are heading towards the middle cone?
- Can we accelerate at the cone as we head to the gates, leading with the foot closest to the gate, and follow with shoulders and arms?
Regressions
- Take away the high five.
- Make it an individual competition.
Progression
(1) One of the lines becomes a defender and they have to tag the attacker before they get to a gate. In this case, the wider gates will give 2 points and the narrow gates 1 point.
(2) Add a ball
