Drill( Unopposed):

Organisation

Half of the pitch

Formation:

GK-1-2-3 (Attacking Team)

GK-4-2-1 (Mannequin Team)

Mannequins set up as defenders. Back 4 and 2 Defensive Midfielders and Offensive Midfielder

Attackers ( Humans or real players) will set up as a centre back standing as a server to start the game, with One Defensive Midfielder, Two offensive Midfielder and Three Forwards.

1. The feeder( Central Defender), looks looks to play the ball into the midfield, as they create an angle to receive the ball which is the Defensive midfielder. Who looks to play into the right winger, as they look to make an imaginary movement with the Manniquinen, who is the left back to create space away.

2. Then the right winger coming short on the shoulder of the right defensive midfielder to receive the ball from the Defensive Midfielder, moving slightly forward to play a through pass for the right Attacking Midfielder, to progress the attack further front

3. The right attacking midfelder, joins the attack moving towards the middle and dropping slightly off the penalty box, after that pass has been made, alongside the left attacking midfeld player behind the supporting striker, the left wing forward coming into the box by the far post. Whilst the defensive midfielder, comes towards the middle to shield the central defender when the attack happens. whilst the last central defender does not move.

4. These movements made by the attackers, will determine what type of cross the right winger attempts which are; Long Cross, Cut back cross and Hung up cross for a goal scoring opportunity to be created.

Duties of the attacking players:

CB(5): Feeder

DM (4): Looking to receive the ball by creating an angle away from the Mannequin

RW (7): Looking to move to advance area with the full back and moving back to create space to receive the ball from the DM.

AM(8): Looks to receive the ball from the RW (7), by dropping a shoulder away from the DM in the opposing team (Mannequin) to receive the ball. Then Looks to find the RW, who looks to move forward for a through pass played in between the LB and CB.

CF (9): When the right AM (8) receives the ball from the RW (7),he should start making his move to towards the edge of the 6 yard box.

AM(10) : Once the right AM(8), receives the ball, he should start making movement behind the main striker (9), just outside the 6 yard box.

LW (11): Looks to come inside the right back and centre back, towards the penalty box, looking to adavance far post to attack.

DM (4): Looks to form defensive balance when the attack is being orchestrated.

CB (5). : Remains where they are in line with the centre forward.

Objectives:

Looking to interchange passes from the back to the midfield and wide areas invoving combination play early to open the oppositional team to create goal scoring opportunties for the attackers from either the left or right flank.

Defending team:

If they win the ball in the box, they have about 10 seconds to score.

And if they win it in the midfield, they have about 6 seconds to score.

Coaching points:

Quality passing.

Patient on the build up play, if under immense pressure.

Good Quality Crossing.

Attacking with good Technique.

Having an attempt on goal to score.

Offensive Balance.

Drill 2 Progression

Screen 2 Drill:

The ball starts from the feeder (Central Defender), who feeds the ball to the Defensive midfileder, who comes off short providing an angle to receive a pass from the Central Defender (Server) with a body position, and controlling the ball with the far foot. 2. Then the Defensive midfielder,plays to the Left Wing forward, who comes off short to create space receiving the ball from the defensive midfielder after making an imaginary movement with the right full back manniquine. 3. Then the Left winger looks to link with the left attacking midfielder, who moves or approaches the ball to receive on the shoulder of the right defensive midfielder (Manniquine), by moving slightly forward to make a through pass for the left wing forward to make a run into an advanced position. Then the left attacking midfeld player, looks to also move into the box just behind the striker, like wise the right attacking midfield player, who moves into an advanced area, But slighly outside the box, facing the goal post. Whilst the right wingforward moves into the box far post.

4. These moements are being made after the cross has been attempted into the box or just outside the box depending on the type of cross being made, In order to create a goal scoring opportunity for attackers to have an attempt on goal.

Duties of the attacking players:

ST(9): Looks to move towards the line of the penalty area once the AM (10), receives the ball from the LW(11).

AM (8): Furthest midfeld player, looks to move inside the defensive midfield of the opposing to an adavance area. just behind the striker (9), just outside the edge of the penalty area,creating an angle between him and the sriker.

RW(7): Looks to move inside between the LB & CB of the opposing team, close to the line of the penalty area heading towards the far post.

DM(4): After making the pass, looks to make a defensive balance.

CB (5): Look to remain where they are with the striker.

Another Alternative for Drill 1:

After the ball has been played by the feeder ( CDF) to the DM and he plays to the RWF who creates space, after running and moving from a highline to drop deep to receive the ball from the DM, the Winger then plays the ball back to the DM, who looks to find the RAM, who drops deep away from the LDM to receive the ball from the DM, by opening up body shape to receive with the far foot and play a through ball to the RWF in an adavnced area.

Before the attackers off the ball start forming attacking movements to get bodies upfront to create a goal scoring opportunity from a cross at the flanks.

Another Alternative:

Defender (5), looks to feed the ball to the Defendive Midfielder (6), who looks to create an angle to receive the ball, then the striker (9), looks to draw the defenders by looking to receive the pass from the Defensive Midfielder (6), who (Striker no9), looks to play a through a pass for the Right winger (7), who looks to make an advance run to create an attack down the wings.

Whilst the Right attacking Midfielder (8), Looks to move in between the two defensive midfielders of the opposing team, to find space in an attacking position, whilst the striker (9), looks to peel off the defenders and move centrally towards the 18 yard box, whilst the Left winger (11), looks to move in between the right back and central defender of the opposing team, to move far post at the edge of the penalty box.

Then the number (7), looks to play a cross in the middle for the striker (9), to approach the ball in the 6 yard box, looking to finish, then the two attacking midfielders look to move in the six yard box and edge of the penalty box respectively, to create more scoring opportunities in goal.

Defensive Midfielder (6), look to create a defensive balance, and the central defender (5), looks to stay in the middle with the attackers of the oppositional team.
