Sm Sided Penetration Game (20 min)
Organization:
30x20 yard area
2 teams of 3
1 ball, spares nearby
Instructions:
- Regular scrimmage, kick ins for restarts, no corners
- Goals only scored with a shot 1st time
Coaching Points:
- Movement off the ball to receive on the move to shoot
- Playing the ball between defenders into space
- Timing of runs (offside)
- When to penetrate and when to possess
Progressions:
- Play with time limit to score once ball is in attacking half

Penetrating Activity (20 min)
4v4 + GK's, 2 goals, 2 min. 4v4 in center grid, connect 4 balls @ ea possession before playing penetrating balls. 50 x 60 Area
Restrictions: Neither team can move into offensive/defensive 1/3's (Shadded) until 4 passes are connected and a penetrating ball is played into an attacking player.
Variation: Decrease connected balls to increase balls played in & 1-2 touch restrictions to move balls faster

Expanded Small Sided Game (20 min)
6 v 6 ea 2 min or two goals switch, ball starts with keeper
Restrictions: 5 connected passes & one of the following (1-2 pass, short-short-long, wall pass, overlap, etc.) before shooting
Coaching Points: Movement off the ball, move the ball quickly, look for penetrating balls into the attacking 1/3

Coaching Points: Keeping posession is priority, keep heads up and on a swivel, positive movement
