Organization
- Create two areas one that is 20 x 30 and a second smaller 10 x 20 on the inside
- Place 8 tall cones around the outside of the large area
- All the players will start on the inside of the small area with a ball each
Activity
- The players will be given 60 seconds to knock as many cones down as possible
- The only rule is that they must stay inside the smaller area to knock them down
- After every 60 second attempt take a look at how many cones are knocked down before challenging the players to beat their score in the next round of 60seconds
Progression
- Split the group in to 2 teams and see which team knocks down the most
- Only side foot passes allowed
- The best improvised pass gets extra points for knocking the cone down (example would be a heel pass)
- Players must use a specific foot to knock down the cones
- Add a defender in to the middle area who attempts to steal the attackers ball
The objective for the players is to think about how they will achieve accuracy while getting lots of opportunities to pass to develop their technique. Where possible can we ask the players to make the pass while moving to make the activity as game realistic as possible.

Organization
- Create a 25x25 area and place 1 goal on each side of the area
- Split the players in to groups of 3
- Each group will have two attackers and 1 defender
- Place 4 goals around the outside of the area
Activity
- The attackers are looking to play 5 passes between each other before then scoring on any of the goals
- If the defender wins the ball they are looking to score on the goal straight away
- The attackers start with a 2-3 point lead in an attempt to get the defender to close the ball and not just wait on the player without the ball
- The team with the most points after 2 minutes wins
Progression
- If the players are struggling to manage with their feet can we do it with the players throwing the ball to start with
This activity requires the players to think about other things other than the ball at their feet. Are they able to create a space where the player with the ball can get it to them? Is the player on the ball able to recognize the chance to pass the ball early?

Organization
- Create 15 x 25 fields
- Split the group to play 2v2
- Create 2 goals at each end of the field
Activity
- The players play 2v2, however 2v1 when in possession
- If your team does not have the ball, one of your players must drop back to the goal line to defend the goals only
Progression
- For the final few minutes of the session allow for the 2nd defender to step out and play 2v2
This activity is about the players thinking about what the best option is for them to be able to score a goal the easiest way. Players should be encouraged to think about what is around them however should not be told to pass.
