Activity 1:
Field: 40 length x 60 width
4 midfielders (blue) vs. 3 midfielders (black).
Scoring: Players score by passing thru gates. Two yellow gates is 1 pt. One green gate is worth 3 points.
Coaching Points: Pressure-Cover-Balance + Communication. Where are we forcing? Don't want forwards running at the center of our defense. Teach double down philosophy if ball gets played in behind.

Activity 2
Field: 40 length x 60-70 width
Players: 4 midfielders (blue) vs. 3 midfielders and one forward (black). Add one target on each end.
Scoring: Players score by passing thru one of the two gates OR if ball is successfullly played to target then it's 2 points.
Progression:
i.Team who plays into target can now get three points if they receive ball back and dribble thru one of the gates. (This will force defending midfielders to turn & kill. We don't allow the other team to turn and go at our defenders).
ii. Can add two neutrals in the playing third to make it 6v4.
iii. Add one defender
Coaching Points: Pressure-Cover-Balance + Communication. Where are we forcing? Don't want forwards running at the center of our defense. Teach double down philosophy when ball gets played in behind.
