Concentrating on receiving player's body position to allow us to advance ball forward (1/2 turned, timing). Also look at passer and how they set teammate up for success

Grid size is 10 wide x 20 long
Play for 4-5 mins, switch players in
-Ball starts with one end player
-assign one player from middle to each player on outside. They will alternate as attackers and only receive ball from that player
-when defending, player must stay in defensive half
-attacker can start in opposite half, but must eventually receive ball in closer half
-attacker will try to receive ball 1/2 turned in order to play ball to player waiting on opposite side of grid
-can also receive ball in front of defender ((must create space to attack 1v1) or behind defender, as long as they are in the closer half
-can play ball back to their teammate once if needed
Coaching Points: Primary focus on body shape and position of player in middle receiving ball: movement off ball, timing of movements, 1/2 turned protecting ball. Secondary focus on player passing ball: timing of pass, cues, leading teammate with pass
Progression: 1. remove halfway line, allow free play in middle 2. do not allow backwards pass to teammate

3 minute games OR whoever scores first
Coaching points: primary focus on strikers and CMs: 1/2 turn position, playing between lines, movement off ball. Secondary focus on passer: timing, cues, which foot they are playing to
