Area is about a 30X30 yard area depending on numbers
Field space is then divided into thirds
Middle 3rd between green line represents neutral area
Players in display = 8V8
Orange cone area is Jail = 4X4yd square
Red cone area is Home Base = 8X8
Balls in Home base should be as much as number of players on each team
Instructions:
1. Each team starts with a team name
2. Teams are then given a third with a home base and a Jail
3. Players from each team has to leave their third and try to get into opposition's home base to steel a ball
4. Once on enemy turf oppposition is allowed to tag player
5. If player gets tagged he/she must go to jail on enemy turf
6. Once a player gets inside enemy base he/she is safe until he leaves enemy base for home
7. Players are only allowed to take one soccer ball each time the enter enemy base
8. Players can decide to go rescue a teammate from jail or take a ball back home once they enter enemy turf. THEY CANNOT DO BOTH
9. If a player comes to rescue teammate from jail everyone that is in jail is allowed a free walk back home
10. If player successfully dribbles into neutral area without getting tagged the oppostion can still get their ball if the challenge for it and knocks the ball out of bounds before player can get the ball into his/her home turf
11. Player does not go to jail if he/she loses the ball inside the neutral zone. However, the ball goes back to opposition's base
12. Inorder to get a ball from opposition, a player has to successfully avoid getting tagged while on enemy turf, then protect ball from challenges while in neutral zone. Ball is safe once you cross over into you home turf with it in your position
13. GAME IS WON WHEN ALL THE BALLS ARE MOVED TO ONE HOME BASE OR ALL THE MEMBERS OF ONE TEAM ARE IN JAIL
Coaching Points:
1. Awareness - players should look for open spaces to make their runs without getting tagged
2. Decision Making - players should constantly be making decisions whether to attack opposition's base or defend their's, whether to save a teammate in jail or take a ball from oppostion's base
3. Acceleration -players should pick the right moments to make their sprints so they don't get caught by opponents
4. Proper dribbling techniques
5. Use of body/sheilding technique to protect ball from challenges when in neutral area
