Skills-Ball Movement (20 mins)
SETUP:
2x 20 yd. squares with a cone at the corners.
5 or more cones lined up in the direction ball will be played. ie One clockwise and one counter-clockwise.
Balls can be started at 2 diagonal corners to control the pace. (additional balls can be in play when player ability permits).
Next player to receive lines up facing the incoming ball but behind the first player.
*Move players from one directional square to the other either on a schedule that allows the players to rotate a couple times or as they complete the circuit in one direction.
Player Movement:
1 This position plays a ball to position 2.
-Pass forward
-Dribble then pass forward
2 This position receives the ball as required by the coach and then either passes or dribbles as required by the coach.
3 This 3rd position/movement will either be a pass forward to the next player (The next position 1) or a prescribed dribbling sequence through the cone line before playing forward.
*Players always follow the direction of the ball to the next position
Options/Variations:
Receive with INSIDE of foot
Receive and pass with 2 touches
Receive and pass with 1 touch
Receive and dribble forward
Receive and dribble, then pass forward
Receive with OUTSIDE of foot
Receive and pass with 2 touches
Receive and pass with 1 touch
Receive and dribble forward
Receive and dribble, then pass forward
Dribbling variations:
Insides of feet (tick-tock, cuts/chops, or foundations)
Outsides of feet (cuts/chops)
Bottoms of feet (rolls)
Tops (pushes)

Head up as playing forward
Awareness of the next pass
