Organization:
-Within a 10x10 grid, set-up a simple area (approx 5 yards).
- Players split into 2 groups
-Place two cones/markers to form a gate in one corner.
-One defender in the area. Remaining players outside area, on corner opposite the gate.
-One attacker at a time tries to get past the defender and through the gate to score a point.
-If the defender can tag the attacker then they gain a point for themselves.
Skill Development:
Movement, acceleration, change of direction
Starting to think about defensive body shape, speed of approach, etc...

Defender passes the ball to Attacker. Attacker attempts to score by dribbling through any of the gates on the Defender’s line. Defending player attempts to win possession of the ball to score by dribbling through the gates on the Attackers line. Then other line goes. Players swap roles frequently.
Emphasis
1. Speed of approach & angle when closing down
2. Slow down the last yard & be ready for any quick moves or tricks by opponent
3. Body shape - angled & use of arms for balance/blocking
4. Jockeying to show defenders one way
5. Acceleration to close down
6. Deceleration to slow down when approaching defender
7. Balance & proprioception to be in a position to challenge for the ball

Set up
Players placed onto a field 35m x20m into teams of 3v3 or 4v4
Procedure
If the ball goes out of the field players can make the decision to either pass or dribble in, Once the ball has been saved or gone out for a goal kick, the defensive team must retreat to the halfway line, Allow the players to play

Set up a 20m x 20m grid, all players have a soccer ball starting at one side of the grid
Procedure
On coaches signal, all players will cross the grid doing action the coach nominates
Single inside and Outside Cuts with both foot.Triple cuts with both feet.
Emphasis
Do not focus on speed, but carrying on the touches correctly
