Evolution Football Academy: Head Coach - Ross McKay
Cool Down - Through the gate (5 mins)
- This exercise can be done with or without the ball, as a fun cool down exercise with a bit of fun and competition incorporated.
- There are 4 red gates for the team in play (reds) to try and pass through to the outside of the square, the blues objective is to stop the reds within the time limit.
- The blue player in the middle square is released after 20 seconds and can tag or tackle any red player who has not passed through the gate at this point.
- From this we will move into static stretching to finish off the session.
- The idea of still incorporating the balls in the cool down, is to bring the heart back to a resting state whilst still haveing a fun competitive edge to the session, along with the stretching, to combat against lactic acid in the legs
