Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): RSA Rec Coaches Session

Two team passing numbers (20 mins)

Organization:

20 x 40 yard area setup as show n

2. 12 Players setup as show n

3. 2 Teams each with a ball eachBalls (Additional balls around the outside)

Instructions:

Players move around the area performing movements related to soccer (forwards,backwards,sidesteps)

2. Players are numbered 1 through 6. Player 1 starts with the ball and passes ball to player 2 who calls for the ball

3. After passing the ball,player 1 turns and sprints to the edge of the area

4. After receiving the ballPlayer 2 must look for player 3 to pass to. Player 2 then completes steps 3 and 4

5.. Player 6 passes to player 1 so that play continues

Progressions:

1. P – One/Two touch

2. P – Add a second ball to each team

3. P-Different order of numbers (players chose order)

4. P- Finish with a shot on goal
