Main Part: 1v1 - Two Directional (20 minutes)
Organization
- Make two teams of equal numbers
- 10-12 yards apart
Instructions:
- A passes to B and pressures the ball right away
- B attempts to beat defender A and score on either of the two goals on the sides. If defender wins the ball they can also go to either goal and try to score.
- Play 7 minutes then rotate the teams so the other teams gets to start as the attackers.
Coaching Points:
- First touch out feet
- Slightly slow down before speed (deceptive)
- Close control
- Change direction/change of speed
- Protect the ball from defender with arms/hands out

Small Sided Game: Turning on the Ball (20 minutes)
Organization:
- Make two teams of equal numbers
- 3v3/4v4/5v5
- You could also add 1 neutral player who plays for team in posession of the ball.
- If players perform one of the turns taught in the session = 1 goal
Coaching Points:
- Movement to create space
- Can the players recognize to turn when area is congested
- See the player/See the ball (Head-up)
- Close control
- Attack open space
- Change of direction/Change of speed

Warm-up: Turning on the Ball
Organization:
- Coach will ask players to get into pairs w/partner
- Working in groups of 4/ 2 balls per group of 4
- Players will start on the endline with the ball
Instructions:
- Players will dribble their ball towards their partner who is on the other side. You want the players to get as close to their partner as possible befoe turning on the ball and dribbling back to the endline leaving it for the next player who will repeat same action.
Designated Turns:
a. Inside Turn (L/R Foot)
b. Outside Turn (L/R Foot)
c. Pull back (L/R Foot)
d. Cryuff Turn (L/R Foot)
e. Both players dribble/turning around each other
- Turning to Right - Insides
- Turning to Left - Outsides
