Organization:
-see diagram for set-up and equipment
-area approx. 25x30m
-organize players into two teams
-have them start behind cones
- red teams plays the ball across to the white team, the white receives the ball and attacks either of the 2 goals
Coaching Points:
-close dribbling in tight areas
-accelerate/rwb into open spaces
-get head up to scan for space, goal
-use of both feet and all surfaces of feet
-changes of direction/speed to get away from opponent
-accurate/quick finishing
-1vs1 moves
-which turns to do- ask if that was correct turn, why, what turn could you have done instead.

-4v4/5v5 small-sided game. Teams play to 2 goals to they can focus on their changes of directions to get to the goal.

-movement off the ball to help support your teammates
Ball Mastery (10 mins)
Organization:
-see diagram for set-up and equipment
-area of approx. 25x30m (5m zones) split into 3 zones
-start without the ball moving around the area
-forward, backwards, side shuffles, skipping( arm and knee up at the same time)
-On the coaches signal, the players stop their ball and race across to the other teams area, first all across wins a point.
With Ball
-both teams work in and around their own zone on specific ball mastery skills (toe taps, inside touches side/outside cuts, pullbacks sole rolls) as directed by the coach or free creative play.

-tthen progress to using the ball
