Arrival Activity (10 mins)

3v1 Transition Rondo

 

Set Up:

4 Grids each have a 3v1 rondo inside. The 3 in possession must keep the ball away from the 1 defender. The defender must win the ball back and then breakout of the zone to be released from the middle and then another defender goes into the middle. Attackers 5 Passes = Goal.

 

Progressions:

- The Defenders get goals if they breakout and stay in the middle (2)

-If attackers win the ball back before it goes out the area or within 5 seconds = Goal

 

Key Points:

- Attackers must show a fast transition to win the ball back and stop the defender from breaking out of the area. (1)

- Attackers must show movement to win the ball quickly and win it back.

Small Sided Game (25 mins)

Transition Game

 

Set Up:

Normal small sided game. If team are attacking and all players are within the attacking half then 2 goals will be awarded. If not then only 1 goal is given. (ambers)

 

If there is 1 defending player that has not transitioned back to their own half then 5 goals will be awarded to the attacking team. (1)

 

Key Points:

- All players must transition back to the defensive third as quickly as they can to win the ball back

- All players must go into the attacking half to score a goal.

- Notice when and where to run and help team mates out to defend.
