Small Sided Games 3v3-4v4 (15 mins)

Set-up 1-2 fields and play 3v3-4v4

  • Build out Line at half
  • Kick-ins for restarts
  • Combine with another group if necessary so as many kids are playing as possible.
Coaching Points:
  • Allow players time to get used to the activity before stepping in.
  • If players have space in front of them, encourage taking it via dribble or forward pass/shot if we can advance the ball quicker.
  • Shape; movement of the ball is essential, spread out to create gaps to pass and dribble/time on the ball.
  • find coachable moments within pairs (when to pass vs. dribble- topic driven)
  • Use Q and A, guided discovery to make coaching points.
