Organization:
40x30 yard area
Divide area into 4 x 10 yard channels
Each player has a ball
Instructions:
- Players work in groups of 3
- One player at a time dribbles through the channel using skill move to beat cone (red)
- Set off the next player upon reaching the end
- Introduce Messi & Ronaldo dribbles techniques
Coaching Points:
- Head up between touches
- Travel as quickly as you can, keeping the ball under control
- Messi touches every step using pinky toe, keeping the ball close
- Ronaldo touches out in front of body, taking bigger strides between touches

Organization:

Cone or pugg goal in middle of each channel - representing defender
Each player has a ball
Instructions:
- One player from each group dribbles out to perform a move (Fake) past the cone or pugg
- Player sets the next player who repeats process in opposite direction
- Repeat for set period
Coaching Points:
- Messi touches on approach
- Head up between touches to judge distance from 'defender'
- Timing of move
- Acceleration after passing 'defender'
- What kind of touches to create bigger separation?
- Who do we dribble like after passing the defender?
Progressions:
- Players perform inside-outside
- Players perform inside-scissor

Organization:
Groups of 3 to 4, Attacking player shown in Blue, 2 5 yard gates set up as shown.
Instructions:
Defending player plays into the attacking player, and immediately presses the attacking player on their first touch. Attacking player looks to score by dribbling through a gate. If defender wins ball they get a point for dribbling it past the opposite end line.
Coaching Points:
Attacking player head up to assess where the open gate is. If we don't have our head up we will not know where the space to attack.
-Drive at the defending player to commit them, if we drive directly at them they don't know where we intend on attacking.
-Scissor Technique: Foot pointed towards ground, scissor as close to ball as possible to increase speed of the move. Drive with the foot that you intend to do the first scissor with. Getaway touch is out of the tackling radius and into space.

Organization:
2 fields: 30X40 yard area each with Pugg Goals on opposite endlines. 3/4 pairs per field.
Instructions: Same activity takes place on both fields.
Players partner up w/a player from the opposing team; 3/4 sets of pairs play 1v1 at the same time.
If ball goes out or goal is scored, restart with pass from the defender. Play for a set period then have players match-up with a new opponent.
Coaching Points:
- Use first touch to engage defender.
- Use other players as decoys
- Head up to recognize if there is space behind to exploit.
- Use appropriate dribbling technique for low/high pressure
- Attempt moves covered in session
- Experiment with new moves
Progressions:
Players can steal a ball from any other player on opposite team.

SAC Warm-up (15 mins)
Organization:
-2 to 3 fields each 15yrds by 25 yrds
-split each fields into 3 zones
-Put all players into pinnies to create a team and make it a competition.
Instructions:
-Defenders are only allowed in middle zone
-Attackers try to get past defenders to the last zone
-If attackers can make it to the other side they get 1 point
-If defender is able to tag attacker in their zone they get a point
-switch defenders every 1-2 minutes based on fatigue
-Attacker is allowed to leave the second the attacker gets tagged or the defender gets beaten
-All players go to opposite side and start again when they are all there.
Coaching Points:
-Head up to see where defender is
-If defender is in middle of their zone, can attacker run straight at them, this gives attacker 2 options to beat defender
-Run with speed to unbalance defender
-If defender is on one side of zone can attacker sprint past him on the opposite
Progressions/Regressions:
-Take zones away
-Add a second defender in behind
-Defender has to start in the middle of his grid every time
