Players to work in groups of 4 and 5
- Receive on their back foot, play the ball at a high intensity
- Once 5-7 passes have been made, the player with the ball dribbles into the opposite box and starts passing with the second box.
- Continuous for 5 minutes.
- Add limitations such as number of touches, no 1-2's etc.
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
- Once players have made 5-7 passes, the team will shout recieve.
- This will be a trigger for a number 10 to come short outside of the box and recieve the ball, playing a 1-2 with the player that is transferring the ball into the box.
- Maintain high tempo
- Work on ball control, accurate passing, verbal communication.
- If too easy, add 1 defender into each box to create 3/4 v1
Progression: As oppose to a 10 coming to play a 1-2 with player transferring, a winger will sit wide of the box and return the ball so that transferring player can begin possession with the team.
