ORGANISATION & SETUP :
Time 70mins.
No of players 10.
Pitch area of approx 40v40yds {depending on numbers), createtwo 'end zones' with one player from one team in one 'end zone' and a player from the opposing team in the other 'end zone' , you also have two goals/gates at each 'end zone' (yellow).
The practice/game is for players to play a 4v4 in the central area/pitch with the aim of scoring by passing through goal/gate to their team mate situated in 'end zone' on completing pass the player playing the pass enters 'end zone' and reciever entering centre area/pitch thus rotating players.
OBJECTIVES & AIMS ;
To observe learning within players of the topic and technical requirements.
High work ethic maintained throughout.
Increase concentration.
Develop plrs understanding of roles/topic.
COACHING FACTORS & OUTCOMES :
Learning levels of topic increased.
Technical points observed and employed.
Practice to allowplayers to 'play'.
ADAPTATION & PROGRESSION :
Increase tempo by introducing conditions i.e 1 Number of passes = goal, 2 Must have certain amount of passes before attempt at scoring, 3 Certain type of pass, 4 Time limit before attempt at goal.
PROGRESSION : Remove 'end zones' and introduce two conventional goals at each end of area/pitch for a (conditioned) SSG with a 5v5 formation, carefull attention to be paid to the techniques used by players within SSG in relation to given topic.
TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS :
1 Technical levels and learning within players.
2 Understanding of topic by players.
KEY FACTORS OF PASSING ;
1 Striking surface i.e laces, inside of foot.
2 Standing foot poining towards target.
3 Eye on target.
4 Hips facing target.
5 Eye contact with target.
6 Correct body shape.
7 Firm ankle of striking foot.
CONTROL' KEY FACTORS :
1 Eye on incoming pass.
2 Surface presented to incoming ball.
3 Arms out for balance' protection and awareness of marker.
TACTICAL CONSIDERATIONS :
Players to understand clearly their responsabilities within practice' i.e 'WHY - WHERE - WHEN' to go'
pass and move.
PHYSICALL/PHYSIOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS :
Overplaying of players.
Regular stretching and drink breaks plus discussion time.
MENTAL/EMOTIONAL CONSIDERATIONS :
Anaerobic levelsto be monitored, be carefull of demanding too much of players.
