How: By making the field compact and getting pressure on to the ball in order to force a turnover
What: “3 forward press” in which the 7 and 11 aggressively jump the CBs, the 9 stays more centrally to help with the holding mid, and the center mids flatten and widen out to protect the wide areas as necessary.

2v2+2 Street Soccer
Organization: 20x20 yd grid
Coach/player plays ball in and players play 2v2+2 to small goals
Rotate players after ball exits
Coaching points and player actions:
First defender travel as ball travels
Reduce space for attacker
2nd defender provide cover screening entry ball in to #9 and goal
Reverse roles as ball or player travels
1v1 defending and profiling
Player tracking as ball gets played in behind

4v4+2 Positional Play (3x4 mins in 18x18 yd grid)
Coaching points and player actions:
1) Attacking shape wide and expansive
2) Defensive shape as a compact diamond
3) Angle of approach to force to your help
4) Taking away of interior passing lanes
5) Traveling as the ball travels
6) Quick transition to repress and win it back

Coaching points and player actions:
3 fwd press
11 responsible for outside back and CB, same with 7
9 responsible for HM and GK
Midfield 3 spread out and be prepared to defend in the wide areas
6 be prepared to slide across or step up on to opposition HM
OBs hold but be prepared to rotate on to OB if necessary
