2v2 Game to small goals
set-up: 2 teams, one team is defending and one team is attacking
5 minute games
Losing team has one set of suicide.
- defensive team passes ball and goes and defend. Is there good pressure and cover? if they win the ball they can go to goal and score. That would be minus one for the attacking team.

Combination Game: 3v3+2 (if not enough numbers) or 4v4+2
Set-up: Field 20 x 15 (3v3+2) or 20 x 25 (4v4+2)
Progression: 4 minute games. Losers have fitness.
1) 5 passes = 1 point.
2) Get one point whenever you successfully play one touch with teammate
3) Get one point everytime you do a combination (wall-pass) with your team.
4) Play game 3 again after making coaching points.
Coaching points: What should you do after you pass the ball? (introduce 3 step rule) Must pass and move. When you perform combination play, need to face up defender and pass and move around them.
For one touch game: players will want to force one touch passes all the time. Introduce decision making, when is the best time to one touch pass? (what should you do before receiving the ball to make this possible <peak>)

Technical Warm-up: (make it a competition!)
Size one ball:
1) 20 - one touch passes + partner takes ball in hand and other player alternates inside foot volleys. Switch after 30 seconds.
2) 20 - one touch passes + Volley laces
3) 20 - one touch passes + receive aerial ball and pass the ball on ground. Check away and then check to the ball.
Part B:
1) Receiving and pass with inside of same foot (Two touch)
2) Receive and pass with opposite foot.(Two touch)
3) Receive with inside, touch with outside and pass (all with same foot > 3 touches)
4) Receive & turn + cut it back.
5) Receive - roll across + pass.
6) directional touch with pressure
7) ***20 yards away. now work on striking the ball with the sweet spot. Plant foot needs to be pointed towards player you are passing to.
(^most important one to get to)

Crossing and Finishing Progression:
1) A takes diagonal touch and finishes on goal while C is the chaser and provides pressure on shooter without winning the ball.
2) B takes a diagonal touch down the line and plays 2v1 (A+B vs C). A looks to get open while B is trying to prevent B from penetrating towards goal and preventing pass to A.
(Purpose is not for defender to keep winning, need to teach decision making for players on the ball)
Rotation: A > B > C
3) Switch servers
Coaching Points: Can finish laces across the goal to far post, or finish inside of the foot near post.On the cross, players need to finish near post with front foot. Why? if they let it come across body, it's more difficult and gives opportunity for defender to win the ball.

6v6 Game for GU9&GU10's. 8v8 for U11's. (30 minutes)
Scoring: 1) Players get one point if they score on goal, 2) if they switch the ball from one end to the other.
Things to Teach:
Throw-ins and when ball is in hand.
Coaching points:
Offensive team needs to have their forwards wide in their own half and they can start coming in the offensive half.
Important we teach them our number system and formation. We play a GK-2-1-2. With two defenders, one CM and two forwards.
Make sure you give them set positions.
Let's create 3 channels to naturally give them width.
2-10/15 minute halves.
