Running with the ball, focus being running with the ball out of defence.
Focus on technique of running with ball (using the laces and moving at speed, head up to assess whether one can take a defender on or combine with a teammate to achieve success).Look to have players off the ball create space for the player in possession to enable running with the ball.

Divide into two teams. Use a Joker if necessary.
The pitch is split into 3 zones (defensive, middle, and attacking zones)
Teams are overloaded in the defensive/attacking zone (2 defenders vs. 1 attacker) but equal in the middle zone with a server/target player each end. Players can only get from 1 zone to the next by dribbling the ball across zones.
Black players have to get the ball from the server and create an opportunity for one of them to run the ball out into the other half. This will then create a 2 v 2 situation in the attacking third and the players have to combine and get the ball to the target player. When they achieve this or the ball is lost the black player who carried the ball into the opposing half has to return to his own half then blue players try to do the same going in the opposite direction.
Looking For:
Can you identify and run the ball into space.
Can you keep the ball close to your feet whilst looking up to identify where
teammates and opponents are positioned.
Can you explode away once free.

Play 3v2 in each half. Players have to get the ball from the keeper/coach and create an opportunity for one of them to run the ball out into the other half to even up numbers and create scoring opportunities.
Change ends regularly so each team attacks the GK.
Looking For:
Be positive and run the ball out when the space is created.
Take few touches and travel quickly.
Keep your head up and be aware of the picture in front of you.
Support players in attacking half, create space to help the ball carrier.
Last 15 minutes remove restrictions and allow free play. Encourage players to run with the ball as appropriate, be aware and try to make good decisions.
