- 5v5+3 Possession Game (or a variation that entails a three or four man overload for the side in possession)
Neutral players (Yellow) are conditioned to play on one touch.
The coach should set the area size to create challenging in-possession conditions to elicit intensity from the practice.
The side in possession plays with an attacking overload while the defending side must defend with an underload, evoking the importance of hunting the ball immediately following possession loss. If the side that loses possession allows the opposition to establish comfortability in their possession, it becomes a difficult task to regain the ball in an organised 8v5 situation.
If the Red side has regained possession and therefore the White side must attempt to pen their opposition into the shaded area of the pitch and regain possession quickly.
Keep the score R v B per block.

The coach can either end the set of work following the 4v3 wave or continue in the scenario for a block of sixty seconds, with the ball always served from the Blue side’s goalkeeper into an attacking 4v3 should play break down.
Repeat the set-structure with roles reversed & personal rotated.
