3V3+1 Possession to 3V2 Attack (10 in the group)
ORGANIZATION
- 4 players try to possess for 3 passes, after 3 passes they are allowed to go to pugg goals without the other possession team defending them but once they leave the possession box, 2 defenders outside the box are allowed to defend the goals
COACHING POINTS
- Defenders need to be aware and ready to defend. Read the cues that tell you what is happening.
- Try to make attackers go one way
- Apply presure TOGETHER immediatelly!

5v4 Transition for Backline
ORGANIZATION:
- Back 4 defenders are on cones in a high position, 2 other defenders are facing off against 3 attackers in a possession grid. After attackers connect 3 passes they go to goal along with 2 other attackers out wide. 2 defenders in possession zone cannot help defend once ball leaves zone but they can help score in small goals if defenders win the ball and find them.
- Backline scores a point by not letting the attackers get a shot off and score 3 points by hitting pugg goals. Attackers score 1 point by getting a shot off and 3 points by scoring a goal.
COACHING POINTS:
- Defenders, read the cues that an attack is mounting By reading those cues you can get your body set and ready, you can set up and organize, and you can make play predictable.
- What are the cues? (opponant looking up, opponant showing a kicking motion, opponant making a run, opponants reaching their passing goals [not game like but still using deductive reasoning])
- What doesn it mean to 'make play predictable'? (keep the attacker going one way and isolate them)
- Who steps to the ball first and applies pressure? (Closest to the ball: ressure, cover, balance)
