Ball Mastery

Balls start in opposite corners. Begin by playing the ball into A then A plays to B etc. Follow your pass.

Progression: First pass goes to B then B lays off to A and A plays to C.

Coaching Points: Receive with proper foot. Weight of pass.

Possession

Set up: 35x35 grid Passing& Receiving. 3 teams of 4, two on the outside two on the inside. Two defenders not on any team in the middle.

Objective: Players must play ball from one target to the other target on the outside. Before playing the ball to the opposite target player the must travel through the two players in the middle. Players in the middle have a maximum of two touches. Target players on the outside must find a new position after they pass.

Coaching points: LOTS OF COMMUNICATION. Communication should be early so players are well aware of what their situation is on the field and have more time to make decision. Defenders in the middle, dont look to tackle look to intercept passes.
