Tic Tac Toe
-3v3, each player has a pinnie. One player at a time runs out and puts a pinnie on a cone, the team must get three innies in a row.
-Once all pinnies are down they can move one pinnie each, including the other teams'

Team Function: Defenders defending within a 8v6 game with transition to attack
Team Task: Coach your teams defenders within a 1-4-2-3-1 formation to defend in wide areas in a 8v6 game vs opposition playing 1-4-3-3
Organisation
• Balls, bibs and cones
• Orange team – 1-4-2-3-1 Defensive unit (GK RB CB CB LB) Midfield unit (CDM CM CAM)
• White team – 1-4-3-3 Midfield unit (CDM, CM, CAM) Attacking unit (ST LW, RW)
CPs
• Establish a tight and compact shape through good starting positions
• Identify trigger to begin triggers press – when and how to press
• Angle of run, timing of press forcing the opposition to one side of the pitch
• Distance of central midfield players from attacking unit, screen mark and cover
• Midfield players blocking forward passes through good starting positions, communication, the angle and timing of their pressure cover and balance
• Body stance – low and side on. Delay and jockey, be patient and wait for opportunity to win the ball
• As the ball travellers wide, FB’s timing and angle of press, CB’s body shape as they shift across, distance between CB’s and FB, ensure FB is aware of opposite winger and still connected to back 4
• Once possession is won, make a positive decision, can you play forward and if not keep possession of the ball
•Ball starts with Orange #10 giving away possession to White #6

3 team possession game
-Three team possession game, two teams on the outside boxes while a defending team in the middle. The outside teams must get 5 passes before transferring the ball to the other outside team. The defending team can send one defender into the team in possession's box. If the defending team win the ball, they go on the outside while the team that lost in goes into the middle.

Scrimmage
-11V11, Both teams playing a 4-2-3-1, place a captain on each team. Make captains do substitutions. Coaching topics worked on today.
