Screen 2 (20 mins)

Organization: 3v3 in the main box with a neutral player, one player from each team (two people) are on the wings in the coned off area.

Instructions: To begin we use our hands and pass the ball like rugby instead of feet to get the gist of the activity. The activity is if you pass the ball three times between your team and get it out to your player on the wing you get 2 goals. If you find the player on the outside after doing 5 passes with your team it is worth 3 goals. The players on the outside can not tackle each other, they are unopposed. After the team finds their player on the outside and receives their goals, we rotate the players on the outside with ones in the inside.

Coaching Points/Questions: How quickly can you get your goals/make your passes? How creative can your movement be, can you make a different movement for each goal? Are we using the inside of the foot to pass, are we picking our head up during the build up to a goal/pass to the outside?

Regressions/Progressions: After players get the gist the outside players can oppose each other, in result trying to stop the goal from being complete. We can move the sides with the outlet players to the end zones to vary the feeling of the pitch/penetrate a different direction.

Screen 3 (20 mins)

Organization: Same set up.

Instructions: Same point STRUCTURE/ rules as before with the addition of a new scoring option. Players can recieve 5 goals if they score after a pass/using the outside players from their team.

Coaching Points/Questions: When do you guys know when to build up the play using 3/or 5 passes or when do you think/or want to go for the quick/direct option using less passes but the outside players?

Regressions/Progressions: Start off with outside players unopposed. After a flow has translated into the activity we can let the wingers pressure each other. Addition: If two teammates wish they can pass and switch with the player on the outside. NOBODY ELSE IS ALLOWED IN THE OUTSIDE BESIDES THE TWO ASSIGNED WINGERS OR THE PLAYERS WHO HAVE CHOSE TO ROTATE BY USING AN INSIDE FOOT PASS.
