4v2 Split the Defenders:
4 Attackers pass the ball around the outside of a 7x7 square. The attackers try to pass through the square. The square has 2 defenders who play inside of the square and try to intercept any passes played through the square.
Round 1: The attackers try to play through the square.
Round 2: The attackers try to play through the square and also, split the defenders when possible. Defenders try to avoid allowing the ball to played through and avoid getting split.
*defenders rotate every minute.
Coaching Points:
Pressure the ball, good approach angle and body position when pressuring the ball, and getting into position to intercept passes.

4v2 plus Goal Keeper:
Set up a 35x25 field with a big goal at 1 end and 2 counter goals at the other. The team of 2 plus GK defends the big goal and tries to score on the 2 counter goals. The team of 4 attacks the big goal. The team of 2 plus GK tries to avoid getting split and/or giving up a goal.
Coaching Points/Questions:
Pressure the ball, good approach angle and body position when pressuring the ball, and getting into position to intercept passes. Stress proper technique for block and poke tackles and when each is appropriate.

ESSG: Passing and Receiving: Last Player Back
4v4: Make the field slightly larger with goals on each end. The goals should be approximately 5-7 steps apart. Play like a normal game. The rules: 1) Can only score a goal on the ground. 2) When a team loses possession or is on defense, the last player back must go back and stand on the goal line. They may stop a goal from being scored. 3) When a team that is defending regains possession they now both attack.
Coaching Points:
Dribble at a defender to set up a pass to a teammate.
Passing accuracy
Create a numerical advantage through spatial awareness
