Winning a 50/50 ball
Group split into 4 'teams' of players as per the layout. 1, 2, 3 & 4
2 feeders -C (coaches)
Feeder to roll ball into centre of pitch.
On feeders command, first player in team to run into centre to win 50/50 ball and return to their original side, dribbling ball between the two small cones. Player who doesn't win the ball to track other player and try and win ball back.
Next players in line to repeat
CP - look for the 'will to win it' and encourage
One player from each team to go at any one time

1 v 1 in the channel
Player A passes to player B creating a 1v1
Player A to beat player B and dribble to the opposite end zone (no shooting)
If Player B wins ball, they are to dribble to the opposite end zone (no shooting)
Winner moves right, those at end of line to rejoin at opposite gate.
CP - movement of body to beat the player. Defender to retain shape
Progression to 2v2
Pair up players creating 2 v 2. Same rules apply
If odd number, create 2v1 or 3v2. Same rules apply.
CP - movement off ball, communication. Speed of play

2 teams,normal game but ball needs to be played down the wide channels and into areas A and B before any team can shoot or score
CP - attacking - promotes wide play, communication and awareness
- defending - players to watch for overlapping runs and cross ball, communication with GK

Arrival: Foot strength (10 mins)
• Players in pairs passing to each other, aiming to lift the ball off the ground
• Each player has a cone marking the distance they are passing from
• If the first bounce of their pass is after the middle cone line, player moves their own cone back 1 metre
• If the first bounce of their pass is before the middle cone line, player moves their own cone forward 1 metre
Challenge is to see how far back players can get their cones, developing foot strength and technique for lofted passes. Will also give practice in controlling a pass received from height.
