Organization: In pairs, one ball between 2. Players to stand inbetween cones provided opposite partner.
Instructions: Players to play to partner looking to get the ball over the mid line of cones.
Coaching Points: Head up, Approach ball slightly side on, strike bottom half of the ball with 2nd knuckle of foot, follow through, balanced on contact.
Progressions: Try weaker foot. Ladder competition.

Organization: Players split into 2 teams. 2 areas created opposite one another. 10x20. Space in the middle that is 10-15 yards depending on players progress in previous drill.
Instructions: Players to take it in turns to play the ball over from their area into the opposite one without the ball touching the floor inbetween.
Coaching Points:
As before, also can you look for an area of space in the opposite grid to play the ball into?
Progressions:
- Weak foot worth 2 points.
- Work on receiving team only having one touch to control and one to pass over.

Organization: 2 teams, 3 areas. Grid size 30/40x20.
Instructions: Balls start in area 1 and look to be played over the middle area and into the shaded area. No defenders are allowed outside of the middle area, although if they can get the ball then they go to the opposite goal. If the ball is played over to the final 3rd, if the attackers can receive and keep it in the area and score they get 5 goals. Change after 10.
Coaching Points:
- As before for lofted pass
- Also receiving, get in line, cushion the ball, select receiving area.
Progressions:
Add another attacker in the middle so if the attacking team want to play short through them they can.

Organization: 4v4 or 3v3, 30x30 area.
Instructions: Pass and move. Look for the lofted pass as a throughball - if scored as a result of this, get 2 goals instead of 1.
Coaching Points: As seen in game. Think about making the game long.
Progressions: Increase/decrease size of field, change teams around.
