Organization
- 30 x 45 Field
- Coach has 10-12 balls at the side of the field
Activity
- The game begins as a normal 4v4/3v3 small sided game
- Whenever the ball goes out of play the last player to touch it must run around the opposite goal before rejoining their team
- While the player runs around the net the coach plays a new ball to the other team who attacks with an overload
- If a goal is scored this counts as the ball going out of play and the goal scorer must run around the opposition goal
Coaches Emphasis
- Closest player closes
- Body shape of first defender
- Delay the forward momentum
- Support from other defenders

- Two Up soccer, teams play for two minutes to find a winner or first to two goals
- The losing team leaves the field
Progression
- Team that wins plays with a player less every time they win
- If they win with 1v3 they get to bring back all three players for the next game
Coaches Emphasis
- Closest player closes
- Body shape of first defender
- Delay the forward momentum
- Support from other defenders, Angles and distances
Warm up (15 mins)
Organization
- Play inside a circle with the approximate diameter 30 yards
- All players start in the circle
Activity
- All players move the ball showing any skills they would like to aslong as the ball stays on the floor, encourage as many touches as possible
Progression
- Stuck in the mud
- There are 3 players selected as taggers without a ball, they attempt to tag all those players who have a ball.
- The rest of the players attempt to stay away from the taggers as they dribble around the area
- If tagged the player with the ball stands still with their ball in their hands above their head and their feet wide apart.
- To be released a team mate must pass the ball through their legs
- See which defending team can get the most people stuck in the mud by the end of the time
Progression
- Rather than the players tagging the opposition they have a ball in their hands that they then have to throw off the attackers ball to get them to be stuck in the mud
Coaches Emphasis
- Awareness of players and space
- FUN
- Lots of touches on the ball
- Communication to make others aware you are stuck in the mud
