Set up

Possession game;

Set up as above 40 x 40 or 30 x 30 square with a 10 x 10 square in the middle

Players on the outside (12/13)

3 defenders (Blue)

2 nuetrals (yellow)

Rules

3 Defenders work together to try and get the ball, defenders are not allowed in the centre square

2 nuetrals stay in the centre square

Players on the outside work the ball around the square away from the defenders and have to try and play the ball into either of the 2 nuetral players at the right time

Rules (25 mins)

Defenders score a point for winning the ball

Attackers score a point when they pass into the nuetrals in the centre zone

Defenders can work for 1 or 2 minutes

KEY POINTS

Encourage the attackers to move the ball around away from the defenders and pick the right moment to pass into the neutrals to switch the play. Neutrals receive on the half turn ready to switch play quickly

Defenders must work together, compact and with speed
