Player 1: Stands at the edge of the goal box to prevent corner taker driving a low ball towards goal. This may also intimidate the corner taker and force them into a poor delivery. If opponents play a short corner this player will pressure the player RECIEVING THE BALL.
Player 2: Stands just behind front post and in the middle of the 6 yard box. Marks any opponent positioned near the front post. This player will pressure the CORNER TAKER on a short corner.
Player 3: Stays central (penalty spot).
Player 4: Stands on edge of goal box near the 'arc'. Is ready to defend any ball that comes out that direction.
Player 5: Stands inside the back post. Defends any ball that goes over the goalkeeper.
Player 6: Posititions just inside back post outside of the 6 yard box. Challenges any back post delivery.
Player 7: Keeps the opponent honest and will hopefully force them to leave 2 players back. Is positioned on the ball side of the field and is ready to start a counter attack if we successfully clear the ball.
