Organization:
Set up as shown.
Instructions:
A plays to B who receives on back foot and plays to C. As ball travels to C player D moves towards and in front of C. C sets back foot to D to pass to E. Once C sets they makes a run around the cone as shown and gets into the box. Once D plays to E the run is made to the far post as shown. When E receives the ball they open up (again on back foot) and plays F who has timed their run down the line. F crosses the ball for C & D to finish.
Rotation: A & B move forwards to become the next 2 forwards. Play now goes to the left to players G & H. The players crossing (E, F, G & H) rotate and cross continuously.
Make sure red wide player works with red forwards (F with C & D) and then blue team work together (H with A & B)
Coaching Points:
- Quality of passing
- Good first touch and set up play
- Movement off the ball and timing of runs
- Quality of cross and end product.
Progressions:
Count goals and make it a competition between the two teams.

2 teams set up. One team as a 4-2 formation and one as a 2-3-1 formation. An attacking team and a defensive team. The defensive team have to score by running the ball up the channel and passing it into the two goals.

Organization: Warm Up - 2 18 yard areas put back to back. Blues cross from one side and reds cross from the other. 6 Pink attackers alternate in the box finishing. Opposite sides go simulatneously for constant repetitions. Keep score for which team scores the most goals. Rotate players so crossers become finishers and vice versa.
Coaching Points: types of cross - low, whipped, chipped, cut back, runs in the box, double movements, crossing movements, timing of runs, technique of finish - header, volley, redirect
Passing and Overlapping
a) 1 passes to 2, 2 to 3, 4 comes towards ball and receives then plays through ball to moving 3, who dribbles to end. Everyone moves round to right
b) 1 passes to 3 then makes overlapping run. 3 passes to 2 who turns and plays into path of overlapping 1. 1 plays inside to moving 3 who dribbles to end. Everyone moves round to the right. Repeat from other end.
