Setup as shown
Instruction: Players on the outside move from square to square receiving from the teammate facing the square they are in. The goal is to receive inside the square and play back to the teammate. Once complete, the players look to find a new square as quickly as possible.
Progressions:
1. Receive inside the square, touch out of the square, pass.
2. Receive with a big touch taking one out of the square, pass.
3. Players in the square serve from hands, receive inside the square and return the pass.
Variation in service:
1. Ball tossed into feet, controlled and returned.
2. Ball tossed into thighs, controlled and returned.
3. Ball tossed into chest, controlled and returned.
4. Ball tossed toward head, headed back.
Coaching Points:
First Touch takes you where you want to go (controlled, directional)
Balance (body over the ball, knees bent, on your toes)
Check to the ball (don't wait for the ball)
Scanning (awareness around the ball)
Receiving Technique (toe up, heel down, foot never on the ground).
Passing Technique (toe up, heel down, foot never on the ground, standing leg parallel to the ball, balance over the ball).

Passing and Receiving Square
Set-up as shown
Player A and C start simultaneously by passing into central player.
Central players receive inside the square, dribble out and pass into A and C respectively.
Next players receive from B and D respectively, controlling inside the square, dribbling out and passing in to B and D respectively.
Continue sequence as player's follow their pass.
Progressions:
1. Ball is thrown in from server on corner cones. Players must receive out of the air and control inside the square prior to dribbling/passing into opposite corner.

1. Passing & Receiving Techniques (inside, outside, sole)
2. First Touch (when, where and how)
3. Balance (over the ball, knees bent, on your toes)
4. Awareness (head-up, eyes up, anticipation)
5. Body Shape (Receiving and passing, open-body to see field).

3 team keep-away.

Instructions:
Two teams work to keep the ball in possession from the third team.
When possession is lost, whichever team has given up possession, defends.
Focus on passing and receiving technique + movement off the ball.
