Keep feeding in the triggers as to 'When' to do the press. As an individual & unit! Force play where possible to supporting players. Try to manipulate the opposition to play backwards and sidewards for when we are playing it facilitates the delay in order for us to ensure we get our players behind the ball.

Number off the players 1 to 8. call 2 players in at a time. The players on the outside are to play around or through the 2 in the middle. Play around or through. The players in the middle are to give a high intensity of the press and try to regain possession of the ball or at least intercept and force the players to go around and not through.
A progression could be to place a player in the middle too to bounce off. (Next screen)

Progression from the previous slide. The added component is there is now a player in the middle too to receive in tight areas. Now the players can play through, around and through or around via the player in the middle.

18 players
6 (1-4-1) try to play out vs 3 pressing and 3 screening (Front 3 - MF 3)
If the ball is successfully played across - then the 3 screeners become the pressing players and the pressers then screen.
On receiving the ball - team of 6 must complete a minimum of 2 passes.
1 point every time the ball is sucessfully played through central area.
If the ball transfers down the sides to maintain possession, this enables the 'out', however this does not score points.
Each team has 3 life's, giving away possession loses a life, lose all and then they become the defenders.
Progression -
1 (then up to 2) player(s) can drop into middle area from opposite side, replicating Midfield players looking to receive.
They can turn out and play themselves, or bounce back to then play forward.
Regressive points - If need be, utilise the GK and they can pick up and re-distribute as necessary.
Coaching points
9 split CB, dictate play 1 way. No aimless running, be clever in press - when can/can't
7/11 to split FB/CB Screen ball into #4, on front foot ready to press FB
Angle of pressure to show outside, do not let them play through middle.
Far side, tuck in to add balance
CMs - screen ball, slide across as the ball does. ANTICIPATE the oppositions ball play and act on the triggers.
(after progression) - be on front foot to press ball into midfield,
do not allow players to receive 'on your shoulder' and break lines

Set the teams up as a 9 v 8. If only 1 GK, use an end zone and go with a 9 v 7. This will ensure that the Blues remain energised and have importance to their press.
Manage the Reds, Coach the Blues.
Reds are to utilise their 1 man ( 2 man with the GK) overload and find the midfield 4 who will try to score.
The blues need to stop the red team from passing around or through them. They need to press with vigour, purpose and once they gain possession, SHOOT!!
So; GK the trigger is the (WHO) 2 CBs drop in their area and come deep to circa 12-16 yards away. The 2 FBs go wide to the extremeties and give another passing angle, FORCING the blues (THE WHY) to split more and work harder. WHAT the blues need to do is communicate well & press as a unit DENYING the reds time & space, hopefully encouraging them to make a mistake. Once the Blues receive the ball, they are to shoot.
All goals scored are 1 point.

Warm up (10 mins)
Warm up.
Jog around the squares, stretch and then form 2 x outfield 6. 2 players in the middle, receive and pass the ball back. remainder on their toes, altering their body position for quick pass. After 8 -12 passes switch players till all have had a turn in the middle.
As well as the warm up, focus on the technical aspects, half turn, communications etc.
You can move on to all players on the outside and when they pass, they follow it and increase the intensity.
