Encouraging Players to Pass and Move after the pass.
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Passing/Movement:
Teams of 3 in boxes with 4 corners.
One player on each available corner and 1 player with the ball to start.
Player passes the ball to any of the other available players then runs to the spare corner.
The receiving player now plays the pass to the next available player and runs to the spare corner.
The function repeats.
Coaching Points:
The player passing the ball needs to always llok at the ball as they move to the spare corner.
Work the function on 2 touch to start with.
One touch to control the ball and the next touch to pass the ball to the next player
Progression:
The progression to this function is to try to encourage the players to work towards a one touch passing function to educate combinational play.
The focus is then on the weight of the pass and using pass appreciation to the player they are passing to. Meaning, understanding where the next pass is going, so playing the pass on the side the receiving player is then going to play the next pass.
