Set Up: As above
Description: The coach plays the ball into the blue team. Player A receives as the red player nearest steps to pressure and the other 3 players move to keep shape. A then passes to B and the red team shifts to adjust their shape and so on through to player D. Once player D receives the game is live 4v4 to goal.
Once play is finished the attacking group becomes the defending group
Progression: Add in a forward to make 4v5
Coaching Points:
1) Body shape of pressuring player
2) Movement of other defenders to close passing lanes (P-C-B)
3) Anticipation/Reaction as ball moves from player to player

Set Up: Width of the 18 x 30yds long. 3 gates set up on each endline
Description: Teams play 6v6 with a back 4 and 2 holding mids and attempt to score in either of the 3 goals on opposite end
Coaching Points:
1) Nearest person to the ball pressures- pressuring player must make play predictable
2) Pressure-Cover-Balance
3) Holding mids need to work in tandem (Pressure-Cover) and shield passing lanes to forwards
